RVerTV Travels
Hey RVerTV friends!
Hey RVerTV family! We’ve been burning up the pavement and taking you along for one incredible leg of our journey. We kicked things off in Kingston, rolling the van right aboard the Edmonds-Kingston ferry for one heck of a scenic ride across Puget Sound. From there, it was on to historic Anacortes, Washington. We set up camp at the marina RV park, unloaded the Lectric XPeak eBike, and spent the day exploring the waterfront—getting up close with the historic W.T. Preston Snagboat, a massive sternwheeler sitting on dry land, before cruising down to the docks to check out the local boats. Next, we traded the ocean breeze for mountain air in Leavenworth, rolling down the downtown streets past incredible Bavarian-style buildings, timber-framed storefronts, and vibrant flower boxes hanging from every balcony.
Leaving the mountains behind, we picked up US Highway 97 to trace the mighty Columbia River down to the water’s edge at Orondo River Park, followed by a peaceful stroll through the Beebe Springs Wildlife Area. We crossed the Beebe Bridge right into Chelan, soaking in the views at the foot of that massive 50-mile-long lake, before heading over to Bridgeport to check out their famous local tree sculptures and impressive dams. The engineering wonders didn't stop there—we hit Washington's ultimate concrete giant, the Grand Coulee Dam, before finally crossing state lines into Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to dive into rich mining history, historic steamboats, and endless lake views. It’s been a wild, beautiful ride, and we’re just getting started!

Well folks, Mother Nature threw us a curveball on this one! When historic low tides shut down my ferry plans out of Port Townsend, the Grumpy Grandpa had to improvise—and boy, did it pay off. If you caught the video, you saw me point the van south to Kingston and roll right aboard the Edmonds-Kingston ferry for one heck of a ride across Puget Sound.
We had the salt air blowing, wide open water views, and that classic Washington State ferry experience you just can't get anywhere else. It’s funny how sometimes the detour turns out even better than the original plan! I hope you enjoyed kicking back with your mushroom coffee and riding along with me across the Sound. Heck Yeah!!
Well folks, we made it to Anacortes, Washington—and what a way to wrap up our Pacific Northwest adventure!
First up, we checked out the W.T. Preston Snagboat, a massive sternwheeler sitting on dry land right at the old train depot yard. From there, I unloaded the Lectric XPeak eBike and hit the historic downtown streets. We cruised past some incredible murals painted right on the buildings, spotted the Mad Hatter Ice Cream shop, and saw a really cool 20-foot-tall outdoor clock over at Burton Jewelers.
Then it was down to the marina to check out the boats. Let me tell you, this is one of the best working waterfronts in the whole Pacific Northwest. So grab your mushroom coffee, kick back, and come check it out with me. Heck Yeah!!

Ever wonder what eBike I’m out there riding? It’s the Lectric XPeak 2.0! 😎 This beast makes cruising through new parks, historic towns, and scenic backroad trails an absolute breeze. Lectric has been a proud partner of RVerTV for over five years now—and together, with the incredible support of this community, we've raised more than $20,000 for amazing local charities along the way!. See their eBikes here: https://lectricebikes.sjv.io/3P4Lad
WARNING: Side effects of owning a Lectric eBike include an uncontrollable urge to say "heck yeah," an unexplained sudden interest in taking "the long way home," and a persistent, goofy grin that no helmet visor can hide.
